Our Team

Steve founded DataRay with his wife, Joy, in 1988 and is a member of the board. He enjoys spending time tinkering and inventing.

Joy founded DataRay with her husband, Steve, in 1988 and is a member of the board. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Kevin studied Business Administration at University of the Pacific, with an emphasis in Accounting and Management Information Systems. As DataRay's COO, he is responsible for the company's operations, governance, strategy, and resource management. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing video games, and snowboarding.

As CTO, Rocco is chiefly responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of DataRay. With an MS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, Rocco has a strong background in physics and engineering which he leverages into building laser beam profiling systems and solutions. He spends his day-to-day on research and development, working with customers on unique and challenging applications, and overseeing software development.

Natalia studied Business Administration at San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in Accounting and Management Information Systems. As DataRay's CFO, she is responsible for cash flow tracking, financial planning, and fiscal analysis.

A graduate of Stanford University, Melinda helps manage DataRay's technical drawings, and is a member of the board.

As Sales Assistant, Christopher interfaces with customers, processing and fulfilling their orders. Outside of the office, Christopher enjoys live music and spending time outdoors, be it riding his mountain bike on the local trails, or grabbing his paddleboard for some time on the water at Whiskeytown Lake.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, Logan is responsible for pre- and post-sales assistance, managing the fulfillment team, and working with customers to find the perfect system for their needs. From chatting at a trade show to helping set up your new profiler, Logan is happy to help throughout your beam profiling experience. When not in the office, Logan is usually spending time with his family and friends, playing board games, or listening to music.

As a Purchasing Agent I, Jesse manages DataRay's stock item levels. He monitors inventory and keeps production moving forward by ordering needed components. He also keeps track of receiving RMAs and parts. He maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers. He is a father who enjoys fishing, hiking and snowboarding.

Brett was born in Australia and has spent most of his career in the electronics service industry. He and his family enjoy hiking the many trails around Redding and enjoying the great outdoors.

Tyson serves DataRay as an Application Engineer. He works to design custom solutions from optical simulation to final assembly and testing. Tyson is frequently building, calibrating, or experimenting on an optical table with a variety of lasers and equipment. He provides support for new and existing customers. When not in the office, Tyson can regularly be found being active outside with his wife, Kerry, and their dog, Draco

As Assembly Technician II at DataRay, Calvin is tasked with helping the team to meet production goals and provide quality product. He assists the team through product assembly, quality assurance testing, and inventory tasks. In his free time, he spends time with his nephew, and plays music.

Annemarie leads the production team and enjoys the collaborative nature of her co-workers and their values for excellence and customer-focus. She can also be found working on product design or workflow improvements that create ease and more room for people's unique strengths.
