Pointing Measurement

If you need to measure beam pointing (i.e., displacement of the beam centroid over a known distance from the source), DataRay's ISO 11146 compliant beam profiling cameras and scanning slit beam profilers are an ideal solution.

Ideal Products for Pointing Measurement

The BeamMap2 can measure pointing in real-time based on changes in the centroid position as the beam passes through multiple planes in Z. For this product, the pointing range and accuracy depend upon the plane spacing.

Alternatively, our M2DU translation stages allow our beam profilers to measure pointing in mrad directly by tracking the centroid during an M² or divergence measurement.
