XY Beam Profiling and 2D Imaging
DataRay offers a full range of ISO 11146-compliant beam profilers, both camera- and scanning slit-based.
Beam Profiling Cameras
DataRay's camera-based systems include the WinCamD, BladeCam, and TaperCamD series, all of which are USB 2.0 or 3.0 port-powered. These cameras produce a 2D false color digital image of the beam being profiled, and its intensity. From these images, XY profiles may be calculated for any location on the beam at any angle. Beam profiling cameras are typically both the optimal and most economical choice when the beam wavelength and diameter are appropriate.
Scanning Slit Beam Profilers
For applications where resolution or longer wavelength ranges are the priority, scanning slit beam profilers may be an ideal solution. Our Beam'R and BeamMap series products are USB 2.0 port-powered instruments. Narrow slits scan between the incoming beam and a large single element detector. They produce XY profiles of the beam intensity integrated along the length of the scanning slit to provides accurate diameter measurements. Knife Edge mode profiles beams as small as 2 μm in diameter with sub-micron resolution.
- The Beam'R2 is a compact, high-performance, economical XY profiler, appropriate when the wavelength and/or small beam dimensions are not covered by a camera and when single Z plane XY profiles are all that is required.
- The BeamMap2, with multiple scan planes in Z, offers real-time XYZΘΦ profiling and focus position, plus real-time M². The selected Z plane spacing must be appropriate to the application.
