The DataRay Software Installation & Use License Agreement has no restriction on number or location of installations. You are free to use your system on as many systems as you wish.

We provide our software at no additional cost when you purchase a system, with no license management issues to worry about. As long as you own a DataRay product, and have agreed to the DataRay Software Installation & Use License Agreement, you may use the software free of charge.

Yes, our software can interface with other applications and environments, including LabVIEW. For more details refer to the Interfacing section.

Free software updates are available in the Downloads section.

Yes, the following products support TTL triggering. 

  • WinCamD-LCM
  • WinCamD-GCM
  • WinCamD-QD
  • TaperCamD-LCM

Note that TTL triggering requires a pulse with a positive level >2.4 V and a duration >100 ns.

DataRay's standard terms of payment are prepayment in full. Subject to approval, you may be granted standard Net 30 credit terms.

To apply for credit terms, we require at least three trade references. For each, please provide a contact in the accounting department, an email address, and a phone number. The credit approval process is dependent on the response time from the trade references. Contact [email protected] to start the approval process.

Online orders require payment via credit card or bank transfer. Payments made by credit card are subject to a 3% transaction fee.

Yes, DataRay offers no-risk 30-day evaluation orders, subject to the DataRay Evaluation Order Terms.

Customers approved for credit can place an evaluation order by submitting a purchase submit a purchase order clearly labeled ‘Evaluation Order’. When the device ships, you will be provided with an invoice to be paid unless the items are returned.

Customers without approved credit terms will be required to prepay for the order.

We currently offer on-site demonstrations in most of the western United States.

We also travel to industry conferences and exhibitions several times a year. You can schedule a one-on-one demonstration ahead of time if you contact us. If you are in an area where on-site demonstrations are not available, consider an evaluation order (see above).

Laser Induced Damage Threshold (LIDT) testing has been conducted for our attenuation accessories. Standard test method was substantially in agreement with ISO 11254. Testing results are provided upon request.

The Beam’R2 is a single plane scanning slit beam profiler, while the BeamMap2 is a multi-plane scanning slit profiler.

The Beam’R2 excels in small beam measurement, able to directly measure beams as small as 2 µm.

The BeamMap2 has pairs of x-y slits at four different z planes. This allows for real-time multi-plane measurements such as divergence and M2 beam quality analysis. To match the BeamMap2's functionality, the Beam’R2 requires a translation stage.
