Monterey, CA USA, December 15, 2025 – DataRay Inc., a worldwide leader in laser beam profiling and analysis, is pleased to announce the availability of its first wavefront sensor, the WaveCamD. Key features include:
- 9 x 9 mm AR coated microlens array (MLA)
- 60 x 60 lenslets, 150 µm pitch, 5.2 mm focal length
- λ/30 wavefront accuracy, λ/100 sensitivity
- Zonal (numerical) and modal (Zernike) wavefront reconstruction
- Compatible with DataRay LaserLink for HTTP communication
Zonal (numerical) or modal (Zernike) reconstruction methods provide flexible options to quickly and efficiently characterize wavefronts in a single-shot, making the WaveCamD ideally suited for CW and pulsed wavefront measurements. The WaveCamD is also paired with new, powerful, and inuitive wavefront sensing software (which, like DataRay's beam profilng software, has no license fees, unlimited installations, and free software updates).
“We are very excited to launch our first wavefront sensing system. We look forward to bringing DataRay's easy-to-use, intuitive software to new applications,” says Rocco Dragone, DataRay’s CTO.
